Are you guys serious? We've given this bloke 8 years to perform - hes performed in possibly 30% of the games hes played in. Watch a replay of the Swans elimination final from this year. No one else wants him so hes not going anywhere, but id be taking anything we can get.

Raph

Hazell also says St Kilda's Raph Clarke, who is out of contract, and North's Ben Warren, who has a year to run on his, would be open to offers from other clubs.

Spot on Bigmart. Cant believe how some people are so passionate about their opinions without having any knowledge or statistics to back it up. People talk about our list being difficult to manage, well if it is Id prefer a man whose been in the industry for 30 years playing and coaching than a first...

I love how some people on here say "Gary Ayres is NOT the man to lead our group of players." In all honesty how would you know? Fair enough you can have an opinion but hes being interview for the role and obviously has some attributes which are attractive to the selection panel. Hes coache...

The AFL trade period is literally a B-grade player meat market. Everyone once in a while an A grade star will shift club, but other than that its really just ordinary players moving. Clubs dont trade their guns, unless their homesick or the deals just too good. Our improvement will come from the lik...

Reminds me of us signing Rossco 5 years ago. The media had Longmire penciled in for the gig and Ross came in at the last minute and smashed them in the interview.

Dean Bailey said last night our list is still in relatively good shape and I tend to agree. Our top 6 players are as good as any other teams - the improvement will come from players 15 - 22. Im also excited by a new coach - I think Ross's time was up at the club and it really is time to call in a &q...

I think some supporters just look for someone to blame when things dont go to plan. Ross Lyon isnt the messiah to take as to a flag. It wont be 1 person who will ultimately deliver us what we want. Its the sum of all parts which produce the end result. If you dont want to be on-board, piss off and g...

THE FACTS

1. Ross Lyon contracted at St Kilda until the end of 2012. 2. Ross Lyon offered new 3 year deal in April to take him through until 2014. 3. Ross rejects this as he wants 4 years. 4. Ross changes management and as a result reaches an agreement to put on hold negotiations until seasons end. 5. Ross in...

Stick by the Club FFS

Stick by the club. Thats all Im going to say. My blood boils when I read posts here damning the club and administration - they had a 4 year deal infront of Ross as of yesterday which they believe he was commited too. Ross talked about commitment, he showed none of it. I love this club and look forwa...

I agree Plugger - more than happy to judge him in a years time after a full preseason. But my only concern with him is the lack of intensity Iv seen when hes played. Not sure if you caught the game against Williamstown but the missed takle looked extremely bad. Went half-hearted and directly resulte...

Nicholas Winmar

Firstly Hi all. Iv been a member of Saintsational for a couple of years now but havent posted for a while. Its been great keeping an eye on the different topics and responses throughout the year though. Just wanted to start a thread on Nicholas Winmar. Our midfield is crying out for some outside leg...

We need to win - simple as that. Not sure why people are calling for mass changes - its not going to benefit Walsh/Lynch/Heyne all coming in at once in a team that gets smashed by 10 goals. Need to bleed these younger players in 1 by 1. As it is this will be our 6th or 7th debutant this year. Blake ...

Dont see why Jones would be selected as a substitute. Subs should be x-factor players that have the ability to influence games eg. krakour, jack grimes etc. Dont see how Jonesy impacts games other than defensively.

Im with you on this one Con. Battled hard in the ruck and ran well around the ground. Picked up alot of handballs through good positioning. Sandys homeground is tiny which really restricts his running and speed. Dropped a few marks but that will come.

Geary wont play hes injured with a broken bone in his foot/leg. Looks unlikely Kos will play, based off Rosscos comments earlier in the week. Its a real shame Crippa was battling an injured glute in the VFL - I think it restricted him abit and had he performed would probably be in the team this week...

Liked what I saw from Will Johnson last weekend but have heard nothing from the club about him banging the door down. Id expect he'd need to string 4-5 weeks of good performances in at Sandy to be a possibility. What I liked though was his speed and attack on the ball/man with the ball. I remember o...

Possible Team this week vs. Essendon

These projected teams are done to death but I cant help but get a little excited by the possibility of a couple ofyounger players sticking their hand up for selection. FB: Gwilt Dawson Baker (I'd give Baker another game. I bagged him during the week but he still plays the lock-down role effectively....

Hes 189cm, quick and knows where the goals are. Something to look forward to.

His drop mark at CHB with no one near him was really ordinary. Turn over resulted in Richmond goal. Really missing his dash from Half Back. Look hes probably the least of our worries, but hes a 5th/6th year player now, needs to become alot more consistent.

Release the shackles.

Listened to SEN after the game last night and our man Finey. Hes as passionate Stkilda supporter as they come, and really wears his heart on his sleave. Sometimes I take what he says with a grain of salt and sometimes I listen - last night I listened. And personally hes spot on. 2 main concerns last...
