Really liked what I saw from Armo tonight. Hes super tough and takles like a rugby league half back. With Lenny out this is Armo's time. Should get more game time in the middle and his numbers should increase. Tonight his kicking skills looked elite at various stages - I remember some passes on the ...

How McEvoy is someone mentioned as a poor pick I have no idea. The kid (yes, kid) is still only 21 and plenty of development left. Personally I see him as a future leader of our club. Massive tank, big heart, great skills and improving tap work - give him 2-3 years and by the time hes 25 he'll be a ...

Over the last 4 years since (basically since we've been top 4) we've drafted based on needs - for example Lynch, Heyne, Cahill etc were all drafted as a need to fill the 3rd Tall role. We're not going to try and turn Heyne into a half back flanker if we have numerous options already in this position...

Have many of you seen this boy kick a football? One of the best set shots at goal I've seen in a long time. If only I felt this comfortable when the rest of our forward line take a set shot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z56p6y2i-0g Im really excited by this kid. 188cm, strong mark and silky skills...

As Dennis Cometti said during the broadcast, Shane Tregear of Sandy Zebs mentioned to him Johnson has alot of potential but is a poor kick. Apparently he could become a very good AFL player but until this part of his game is fixed he wont make the team. What I liked about Archer was he had a red hot...

Should be interesting. From history our recruiting department go into Drafts with a pre-set idea on who they are going to select at what pick. I remember we took Brad Howard in the 20's one year because we thought he might be gone by 50+. I suppose a lot of clubs do this. I wonder if Kane already ha...

The key for Tommy is to make optimal use of his strengths and avoid trying to be something he's not. Hes big, strong and powerful - thats what he should be trying to bring to the team. He will never have the footskills of a Goddard or the running of a Hayes or the marking of a Riewoldt, but what he ...

In terms of a 3rd Forward role I'd much prefer Tommy Lynch to be given first crack at trying to make this position his own. He was touted as the best lead up forward in his draft year and I expect him to be given alot more chances at cementing a spot in this role next year. Paul Cahill is still on t...

Apparently the Saints were the only club to have no representation at Etihad Stadium on the final day of trade week. Shows the Club must be confident in the young talent they have available and not interested in the C Grade players open for trade. Other than Krakour I couldnt see any of the players ...

Fairly obvious from the Post-GF press conferance Ross will give our 20-24yo's every chance next year. I'd expect Rd1: FB: Miles Dawson Blake HB: Gwilt Fisher R.Clarke C: Montagna Hayes Steven HF: Gilbert Riewoldt Gram FF: Milne Stanley Schnieder R: McEvoy Dal Santo Goddard I/C: Geary Armitage Koschi...

Alot of people upset by the lack of action, but if theres no one available who can add anything to our team then theres no point trading. Far better off to keep our picks, inject some young and re-generate. The improvement in our team next year will come from Armitage, Stanley, Miles, Geary, Heyne, ...

Lets face it - Kossies not going anywhere. His value to another club is small and we will live in the hope that he can deliver on the promise he has showed so many times. Iv lowered my expectations of Kossie and since then Iv learnt to deal with certain aspects of his game - he's not agile, he's not...

Geez Im proud of this club, regardless of the result today. We are about to play in the most anticpated Grand Final of the modern era and go in with a huge chance of success. When I think back to the 80's and early 90's when we were on the brink of folding, I cant help but admire the efforts of Alve...
