I really hope this Riewoldt deal is on the cards. Could we use him in a trade for Pick 1 for GWS? Or is that totally out of the question?

Considering Melbourne is possibly putting their No 2 pick on the table, maybe we think Adams will require pick 3 to be part of the deal, and we aren't willing. I highly doubt that we would just let him walk past us without reason.

The Ross Lyon style of gameplan can't win premerships--at best, you can get within a kick or two of the other team. You will never see a Ross Lyon team blow the other team off the park in a GF.

I would be shocked if we picked him up. He has potential, but seems to have too much baggage.

That is a steep price to pay, but if we got Bruce and Pick 1, and still retained McEvoy, I think that isn't a bad deal. Dal Santo and Fisher are at the ends of their careers. I think a heavy price is worthy of a potential flag winner like Boyd.

Wouldn't trying to get Boyd be better? I think Boyd could be a player of a generation--we would be muppets to not try and land him!

We need to try and get Boyd somehow--he is the sort of player that you build your team around for 10 years, as is the case with Rooey. We are in the best position of any club to pull it off, considering we have Pick 3. Our bargaining position is good--we can do it!

I reckon he was worried that the emotion of the day would have got us over the line against them even with their full team. He didn't want to be embarassed just before the finals. Even though we flogged them, he can argue that he had a reserves team playing.

It is an attitude thing with Siposs--if he fixes that, he will be a quality player. He has the skill needed, but needs to get that professionalism that elite players have.
