We're playing the bulldogs in the qualifying
Would have to take a huge Bullldog loss against the pies and a two massive blues or crows wins for it to be anything else.
Although the blues are playing melbourne!
Then the blues and crows have to fight it out in round 22.
It looks like it will be the dogs.
Can't wait!!!

Training
Does anyone know when training will be held this week? I know that the saints website says that we can't attend but I notice that many on here seem to go. What's the deal?

Buying tickets online, over phone or in person?
Apologise if this thread has already been covered but what are the best ways people have found to purchase finals tickets?

That's the funniest I've seen on here. Definitely the biggest FAUX PAS I have seen!

I've just read the article as well and agree that we should temper some of the comments we make on the forum; however, to label it cyber bulling is incorrect. The players are obvioulsy in an industry that allows them to be recognised and scrutinised and they must take the good with the bad. No one o...

Ha ha. To think that Bakes could be as good as Ling is hilarious! Ling shuts down players through his strength and ability to hurt his opponent with damaging possessions of his own. Bakes has never been damaging in that way. Dal Santo and Bartel were drafted at the same time and has played about th...

Apart from Ablett though how many of their players in these lists are vastly superior to ours? Scarlett is not that much better than Hudghton and who has Geelong got comparable to Roo and Kosi? You did not add him but Baker can shut down guys just as well as Ling. Bartel wasn't always as good as he...

Lenny Hayes is our only quality midfielder and I have good feelings about Armitage's potential. Montagna serviceable but too slight - gets thrown off the ball easily. Others have too many weaknesses in their game. (Harvey exempt from this analysis because he has given everything every time he has pu...

Yeah definitely keep Dal in the side. Otherwise Lenny will get the best tag and then we'd be in real trouble - he's our only effective midfielder. Heavy tags never bothered Lenny in 04-06. Yeah agree, sorry didn't mean it to come out like that. Was trying to make the point that Lenny is our best mi...

Re: Dropping Dal Santo....
Can the moronic St Kilda fans among us, (yes there are a lot, but you all know who you are) STOP calling for Dal Santo to play for Casey. Is that not the stupidest, most ill-informed statement or view to make. Why don't we just do the opposition a favor. Preventing them from having to worry about s...

Yeah definitely keep Dal in the side. Otherwise Lenny will get the best tag and then we'd be in real trouble - he's our only effective midfielder. Of course it is hard for Dal getting tagged heavily but the problem lies in the fact that his direct opponent is allowed to be so dominant. That's why su...

FFS don't panic St Steven. We are exactly the same ladder possie as after 4 rounds last year, and we have just 9.01% points below what we were then. We have played two teams who I rated in the bottom 8 and beaten one of them by 40 points. No need to stress. That's no consolation since we didn't eve...

I think what this thread has established is that there is more to winning a game of football than a game plan. The players obviously need to execute it properly and our players, unfortunately, haven't been able to do that. If their disposal and goal kicking accuracy was good yesterday we wouldn't be...

Prior to 2004 we all went to watch the saints pretty much expecting to lose and if we won it was a bonus. We generally wouldn't get that worked up or upset 'cause it was just a given. Maybe we need to go back to that frame of mind. Maybe we are just not that good. If we keep playing like we have so ...

Very warm and fuzzy thread but reality is we still LOST! I couldn't believe that at the end of the game saints supporters were clapping the team. Yes they improved from last week but the players would not have been happy with how they played (delivery, goal kicking, general errors) so why do saints...

Tactically obsessed and way too soft. Why are we allowing our guys to get knocked out unchecked? Can someone explain how and why we are dropping off the radar and the Doggies and Geelong are moving ahead in leaps and bounds. We are simply stagnating. Didnt we put heaps of dosh up to get the best co...

The point that i'm trying to make though is that he had 11 disposals up to half way through the 3rd for a player of Dal's supposed ability that is not good enough! Ling or no Ling he has plenty of time to try and negate taggers but has yet to prove he can do it! Correct. Dal's work ethic is deplora...

Apparently confirmed. As I suspected, teams will be selected in accordance with who we play. Doggies have a smallish, pacy forward line - so Raph goes out. If it had been the Hawks - maybe he stays in?? Anyways - as close to full strength as I can remember. Only Bakes and Goose still to come in. Do...
