IMO there will be at least 2 changes In: Glory & Passion Out: Pain & Emptiness Fear Sneaky Peakey and Fear Cougar Dawson Collingwood – we will bring you pain. Would love to grab your thoughts on changes and possible match moves.. Kosi to CHB perhaps? I love it BakersChest!!! Launch into e...

Jesse Smith is in the top 5 most talented players on our list IMHO... question is whether or not his body will hold up. He is a cross between Hurn and Goddard. His final against the hawks a few years back was just an example of what he's capable of... Talk about overstating the case. The top 4 most...

I'm obviously in the minority but I personally wish him all the best, just not against us. He was pretty much my fave player with us and while I'll find it hard to watch him run around for that poor excuse for a footy team, I'll also find it hard to not hope he goes well and get back to his best for...

Andrew Raines traded to Brisbane for pick 44. X traded to Brisbane for pick 60. I may be biased but X even returning from a reco is 5 times the player dud Raines is. I'd say salary cap and doing the right thing by the player were the major reasons behind this trade. Maybe you are right but at the s...

I think we have done very well. Lovett gives us that x factor we have lacked for years. Giving up pick 16 is a fair deal. You can't fill needs with quality players unless you are prepared to cough up for it. Peake is good depth. Great pace and run and carry. Losing X is a blow and pick 60 we probabl...

i think baker should go to chappy. like aker, he is a potential match winner (dominated last week and should have got norm smith in 07). its a hugely important matchup for us. I worry about Chapmans strength overhead with the Bakes matchup. Bakes has struggled on those types in the past. Bakes has ...

Im not sure that they will send Ling to Dal Santo... It seems the most likely, and his september form warrants it, but the way Lenny has been playing, surely Bomber Thompson would have to be thinking to send Ling to Lenny. Will definately be interesting to see which way they go. Lenny is obviously ...

Could very well work in our favour. If, like the 2 games against them already this year, we can slow them down through the middle they will have no get out of jail kick and hope to a tall forward. All season we have been able to make sides rush kicks into the forward 50, obvioulsy making it much mor...

Last time I check Bally was a runner!! Not sure there are any better running options not in the side currently. You would think that the options to come in are Geary, Armo, Dempster and Max. None of those are better options than Ball. Besides we need his toughness and clearance ability to counter t...

The way the article reads it would seem to me that Bally's spot is the one in doubt. I'd hate to see him dropped but I can't think of anyone else who would make way for more run. He won't drop any of the big blokes and you'd think the guys in the backline are safe. Out of all our mids Bally is proba...

Why is he getting so little game time? Is it that he isn't fit enough? Is it that Lyon doesn't really want him in his team and would have preferred someone like Dempster or Geary? You get the clear sense that Ball wants to be on the field more often than he is allowed to be. It's a funny state of a...

He definately struggled to make an impact in the 1st half but to his credit I thought he was the best player on the ground in the 2nd half. Really stepped up toward the end of the 3rd when the Hawks were coming and ran the game out very well with his 10 last qtr touches.

In fairness to Shaw, Gerad Healy basically said the same thing on the couch on Monday night after talking with Roo on the plane home from Perth. Roo claimed to be very sore and couldn't believe how flat he felt out on the ground last weekend. You'd think most footballers would be 'sore' at this time...

Re: Johnson - will he get to chase Gram all day?

I'd suspect we might go with Baker. Few players can unsettle Johnson these days, but Bakes needs a scalp, it's a big challenge but one he'd love to take, especially since he made a good return to form on the weekend. Usually Baker has taken Ablett - with great success - but I'd rather Jones for tha...

I reckon the most frustrating thing for me with Kosi in the past is the perceived incosistentcy in his effort. I think Harris would be a good get. We have Lenny and Ball who are good at the stoppages but when we rotate and those guys aren't in there we get slaughtered.
Being able to swing Harris in there with guys like Dal and Joey when Lenny and Bally are resting will upgrade our midfield no doubt.

For a midfielder Swan is very strong in the air. It is one of his strengths and a reason McQualter couldn't handle him last time. A bigger bodied player must go to him. Could Eddy do the job??

Good topic Mart and I totally agree. Charlie isn't a world beater but he is the best option we have to play a role that is critical in today's footy. The comment you made which sticks in my mind the most is that Charlie knows how to play as a leading forward. That is the most important aspect of it....

This is a good topic with good arguments both ways. My concern with White is that he is an undersized ruckman who has r...
