Re: Guess The Crowd: Saints vs GWS Easter Sunday Special

It's a pity we're playing an interstate team in our first game, if it was another Victorian team, we could have been looking at 40k plus.

Sure he was the last one
Billings has signed until the end of 2017.

Jack has just signed on till the end of 2020, so he's obviously not too worried about where he trains.

Just as a matter of interest........where would that training somewhere decent be?

Re: Etihad roof to remain open on sunny days

The way I see it, the AFL only have 2 alternatives to stop all this talk about whether the roof should be open or not. 1 - Re-configure the ground to face west to east instead of east to west......or 2 - Shut the bloody roof. To be honest, I like it when the roof is open on sunny days, but we have ...

Re: Screwed over by Etihad - thanks Jimmy!

No team in the competition should be losing money when playing at home. To not get some sort of profit from our home games, even a small profit when there are low crowds, is criminal to say the least and someone should be made accountable. Hopefully Gil is making some headway in rectifying this. It'...

Re: Spencer

Richo said when quizzed about Spencer White's non-selection for the NAB 1 game against Brisbane that he’s still got some work to do in his game, but he’s heading in the right direction. Take that comment any way you want, but it sounds to me like he's not pulling his weight or lagging behind in his ...

Apparently Rhys has had some sort of leg problem, could be available to play against Carlton this Sunday.

Re: Upcoming Game

I know most people will say the result is irrelevant, but I reckon it is relevant. No one wants to go into Round 1 with a heavy defeat behind them. It makes no difference at all. We were SMASHED by Port Adelaide in the last pre-season game of 2009...It didn't hurt our side one iota. Sydney were sma...

Re: How many wins this year?

As we all know, anything can happen between now and the end of the season as far as injuries go, so if we can be lucky enough to stay injury free from here on in, I reckon we should win at least 6 or more games. Any win we get will be great of course, but the one against Carlton in NZ would be a spe...

Re: WHO replaces Ross in midfield?

This is the man I reckon will move into the midfield in Ross's absence......Blake Acres. Interesting to note that he came to us with senior WAFL experience – primarily as a midfielder.......also just on a side note - Blake is nearly the same height (191cm) as Scott Pendlebury (192cm) not that I'm pu...

The best thing that Dan's got going for him is that he's still young enough to overcome any injury setback. I'm sure he'll come back stronger both mentally and physically when the time comes again to give it another crack.

Bloody hell, how unlucky can a bloke get. I really feel for Dan at this point in time, just can't seem to get a good go at it!!

This will be a great test of his mental strength to see if he can overcome yet another long term injury.

Good luck Dan, don't give up!!

No Daniel McKenzie again, no mention of him on the injury list.

Has anyone heard anything as to why he isn't playing or are they just saving him for the game against the Hawkers on the 19th March.

Re: NAB 2 - Morwell Sat 7th March

I don't think Richo will be too worried about the scoreline. His main concerns will be how we perform overall and how well we stick to the game plan. If we get beaten by a team that is made up of several players from other clubs, then so be it. Once the real stuff starts I'm sure the boys will be re...

Re: Tommy Lee will be back in the WAFL in 2 years time!

Another issue is that he's not that big. He's 194cm. That makes him the same height as Dylan Roberton and Sam Gilbert. .....and that also makes him 1cm taller than Rooey and he does alright. I think his main problem is that he's just not confident enough to take the game on. He has to make his pres...

Great article Bratty. Love the way the author explains the game to the yanks. On a serious note - I can definitely see Holmes getting a run in the seniors in the very near future if he continues to improve at the rate he has thus far. Good luck to the big guy, seems like a really good bloke and very...
