Article on McQualter

X marks top spot By Luke Holmesby 1:17 PM Fri 15 May, 2009 ANDREW McQualter is not the type to showboat. So it took more than a few people by surprise on Monday night when the St Kilda utility followed a goal by turning to the cameras and crossing his arms in an uncharacteristic flashy celebration. ...

However I ask the question, do these former players love the club more than you or I ? Of course they don't!!!! If they did they'd never think of leaving the place. The supporters come first in my books, the premiership is about us and the current squad...dare I say it,but F*** Harves :P ! Differenc...

We were playing Fremantle at Carlton. Buggered if I know why. But the Blues were headed towards a wooden spoon so there was a bit of an unofficial call to arms (possibly by this very website) for Saints fans to bring wooden spoons to the game and leave them at the ground. One journalist with a St Ki...

The Brad Howard draft pick (second round, 2006) was one that had a lot of people here up in arms.

I don't think too many would have changed their tune just yet.

Re: MISSING INGREDIENT

Stephen Baker, suspended in 2004, and Matt Hudghton, injured this season... Any relation to Steven Baker and Max Hudghton? Easily forgivable though, Patrick. One is a best and fairest winner and the other is one of the best full-backs of the last ten years so it's not as if their first names would ...

I was there and I was 13 years old. I remember thinking it was hilarious at the time. On thinking back to what happened with the posts and the bonfires, it was actually closer to a riot (the dangerous meaning of riot, not 'haha that was a riot' ). Drew some parallels with English soccer hooliganism....

I was thinking about this this morning for some reason. I remember they had both Hamill and Akermanis on the Footy Show the week after. Think of the positives.

All that means is that there are fewer times where you have to listen to Robert Walls or David Schwarz commentate on our matches.

Mc Evoys big chance to come in as second ruck and get some touches IMO, A big job against Hudson and Minson I know, but it will be good for him. Much rather see him come in as a ruckman than a forward. Also means that both rucks can kick a goal. Big job against Hudson, but Minson I'm not so sure ab...

Read that article closely though. It's not actually based on anything more than the writer's assumption.

He's chucked in a few stats to show that Gilbert's played well this year.

This is weird. Ross played his last game in round 2 1995 for the Bears. He must have been injured rather than dropped because he got a lot of the ball and got a Brownlow vote. Brisbane brought in a first gamer to replace him. His name was Steven Lawrence But more importantly, how many degrees from ...

Well if the AFL hadn't embraced it as a 'magoos', 'ressies' or 'twos' competition ten years ago then the VFL would be well and truly dead by now.

I don't put too much stock in what Robert Walls says, whether it's positive or negative.

He's not overly insightful, just provocative and that's why he gets so many media gigs.

Listening to James Hird on the couch by comparison just shows how little Walls has to offer.
