Re: Jack Steven suspended for failing breath test

drink driving aside. does this not concern anyone that jack drank enough between finishing up at the essendon game and 10am the next morning to blow 0.08!!! what kind of f****** recovery is that!! then drives to the club to rock up to a recovery session hung over! Surprisingly easy to do. People do...

Re: Jack Steven suspended for failing breath test

Bloody nong. But he's not much beyond a kid. They reckon they're bulletproof. We all did once. He won't do it again. Once you get caught it changes you. Plenty of footballers don't TL....just saying. He has been caught being naughty before. Not going to lay the boots in, but he is very talented, an...

I've already locked this one away in the 'geez wouldn't it be great if...' pile... We don't have the cattle to match them. We'll have be great with what we have and they'll have to put in a Melbourne-ish stinker. Hope I get a surprise. I did see a shooting star last night, though. The first I've ev...

Re: Heard some information

Sometimes you're forced to make a judgement call. I doubt Koz, as a bloke who has little care for his own person when he dons the jumper, would say 'I'm too crook, boss.' Doctors, Coaches etc all make a call. They made a poor one, but it probably seems the right one before they made the call. But fr...

It does allow you to get rid if deadset dribblers but if you're using it simply to shut yourself off from people who have no more than a different view then you're being a trifle 'nanny state' precious....

Why start a thread to pose questions then answer them yourself?

I'll do something similar: Can anyone tell me why I didn't get a new bike for my 10th birthday?

...we might run sixth with a full list... a full list? every year there are long-term injuries, and so our luck in not hitting any so far this year seems unlikely to last all the way through. last year we were only missing five at the bye: hayes, gardy, blake, stanley, cripps. after that: - gwilt d...

As for selection issues, I just hope we somehow find room for Ray. He's been flying in the magoos, I'm hearing.

NORTH (tricky) DONS (tough) LIONS at the Gabba (ok) SWANS at the SCG (tricky) DOGS (fine) PIES (tough) DEES (fine) CATS at Etihad (tricky) GIANTS (fine) BLUES at Etihad (ok) You'd reckon we'll have to do better than an even ledger on the downhill. That means at least one serious upset and no silly b...

Re: Saints v North - Discussion

Should win, but Roos can have their day. Frankly, though. We simply have to come away with the points. Drop it and we'll be chasing our tails for 8th. Win and we remain well in the mix. Good test. They were good today, Kangas. Geez they s*** me though. Harvey is an insufferable downhill skier...Irr...

Re: Saints hangover ?

Was just thinking the same.

Saints play a pretty physically demanding style in close, and after being Lyonised we are well known as an extremely fit side. That may have something to do with it.

Re: Saints v Crows - preview & discussion

By far our most important game of the season to date. A win and anything is possible keeps us within a game of top 4 . A loss and will make no impact come September! As they say a season defining game. I also think this outcome may decide the futures of many players and future direction of the club...

Say what you will, but they have a significant proportion of their best out hurt and they are doing very little beyond using the competition as a training drill. The former I accept. The latter is unforgivable.

Re: Gilbert deal imminent

Gilbo works his guts out every match. He may have no right side but I don't reckon the opposition ever want to kick it to his opponent. He's a fantastic stopper. And if you run with the ball the number of times he does you're going to get wrapped up a certain number of times anyway. Too sensible fo...

Re: Well done Robbo

I admire what Thomas did because he could have avoided it altogether, but the way the Auld at the GC dripped all over him like he was some sort opt demigod for doing what any normal person should do reeked of an apprentice trying to brownnose his boss. Annoying. I would like to know what came first....

Good on Thomas (who I think is a decent bloke and a great footballer) one can only hope that this example will be followed by others. Hopefully spectators. Some of the crap you hear at footy is disgusting. I have a good old time yelling at Nick Maxwell because I am immature. An exception to the rul...
