Tim Hutchison (Kangaroos) and Austin Lucy (Essendon) were both delisted after one year last year.

So you can delist them, but you can't trade them? That's stupid if it's true. And why are they bringing this rule in after we blow two good picks on Barry Brooks?

I reckon the thing that should be learned from Port is not to hold onto crap players for too long. They've delisted something like 16 players the last two seasons. They took 8 players in last year's draft. Draft early, draft often. Don't hold onto players who haven't shown much improvement hoping fo...

Only focal point in a team which has been coached to kick to him every time they have posession. I'd love to know exactly how often they kick to him. He kicked 6 or 7 on Gwilt this year, but must have been kicked to at least 15 times. Did the same thing against Collingwood with O'Brien on him. Both...

supposedly we will trade fevola to carlton for pick 9. hope not. rather keep the first round draft pick. but this rumour is growing. I could see it happening. That would give Carlton two top-10 picks to deal for Judd. The only problem with that is supposedly Carlton have told Judd that Fev will be ...

Make 4 of those draftees (45k on average) and factor in a bit of a pay rise for Goose and X (30k each) and we've got almost $1 million spare. We should have a real go in trade week. I doubt we'll draft four kids if we're active in trade week. Our last pick last year was 59, and last year was suppos...

if we are pinning all our hopes on those 3 then i feel we are in some strife If we're pinning all our hopes on the FF position, then we don't have a very good gameplan. Without a dominant FF, we'll probably have Roo playing closer to goal and/or Kosi playing out of the goalsquare. Either way though...

As much as I'd love to upgrade the FF spot, I think Carlton would ask too much for Fev to make it worthwhile. What we need more than a ready made replacement for Gehrig is better delivery into the forward fifty and a greater goalkicking contribution from outside the KPs. I'd say only make a trade fo...

I have a hard time believing that Judd or Maguire care much about the challenge facing the board. They might care about our lack of elite facilities, but not who our President is. Board challenges are the sort of thing that players care about. Nobody left after our coach was axed, and he was pretty ...

whenever the media looks at geelong's rapid rise the apparent injury crisis the club had over last year is always brought up and how they are predominately injury free now and have been all years Geelong's rise had nothing to do with injuries. They weren't injured in 2006, just woefully inconsisten...

has Brooks been given a game in the ruck for the seniors in the saints in 07? Brooks played some ruck in all of his last three AFL games. He's got the athletic ability to contest the centre bounces, but lacks the strength to compete at around the ground stoppages. Rix might not be a match-winning r...

Scarlett in the BP is such a cop out. They should have picked one FB and stuck by it. Not a lot of run out of defence considering the way the game is played nowadays. Only Milburn and McLeod are real rebounding defenders. They should have had three or four of them. You don't need three or four key d...

Remember, Freo tried to screw us over with the Heath Black deals. Payback time? !! They offered us a second rounder and we wouldn't take it. What makes you think they'll take a second rounder for Hasleby? Hasleby's a much better player than Black, even when he's not 100%. They'll want pick 9, and I...

Why Kennedy? West Coast already have Hansen and Lynch up forward, and they got Mitch Brown in the 06 draft, who so far has looked better than Kennedy has. If anything, West Coast would want a midfielder if they're losing Judd.

Maguire to me lacks mobility big time - yeah he looked good in 04/05 - the whole team did. This aint that team. I also recall Maguire having an extended run where he was close to be dropped cause his form over many weeks was quite poor..still the side covered him and we won games........bottom line...

Since when? I see a fair few Subiaco games thanks to Fox always carrying them, and Hunter always plays on opposing CHFs - Riewoldt, Brown, Pavlich.

Talk about an underrated player. Maguire was in the mix for AA CHB for two years running before he broke his leg. He almost certainly would have got it in 05 if they were selecting using the current format. After seeing Nathan Brown this year, there's no reason to think Goose won't be back at his ka...

By your logic we will pick up the best player available with our pick which is quite unlikely to happen. We can be conservative and go with draft picks which probably wont lead us to a flag in the next 5-6 years or we can take a punt on 2008-2010 being our era. I'd be happy to trade the pick if it ...

Pick up a newspaper and read what every recruiter and so called 'expert' has said so far, they all agree that there is some serious talent in the first few but apart from that its pretty slim picking.... Dal Santo also had a lot less kicks per game and many more handballs ... pretty hard to make clangers by hand, but a lot easier to make mistakes when you are kicking under pressure. Dal's kick-to-handball ratio was 3:2. He was hardly handball happy. He also won a lot more of his possessions in cont...
