Quit the nonsense plugs, BM was asking a legit question and not in a stalking/trolling mode.

As for the salary cap, no doubt we are high up on it at the moment. Maybe it's a ploy waiting for free agency to offload a few stars for the rebuild. That's basically saying free agency may be a more lucrative avenue than the trade period??
My thoughts are gained from reflection of Luke Ball's behaviour at the 2010 grand final. This was first class as was Like as a player and person.

I wish him well. He would have had fleeting thoughts about what may have occurred when Lyon left but Luke would be very content in his past decision making now. Lyon wouldn't enter his mind now. Its now history after a bad club decision.

Midfield clearances and clear winners are needed to make an effective forward line.

You need to protect the ball handler to increase posession efficiency

Not abut money.
Imagine Hayes/Riewoldt getting to sit on the pine for most of second half in GF in conditions that suit and having played a great first half?
What else did the Lying Dog have to do, Show him the door?
Final insult, offering the wife beater the same as one of St.Kilda's greats of the 21st century.
Despite any good Lyon may have done the Ball/Lovett scenario will mark him as the destroyer of the solid culture created by GT and the young bucks of the b2000 draft and beyond!
I hope the dirty dog has as much success as Terry Wallace and Timmy Watson combined.

BAIL must still be one of the only players in the AFL who gives it everything he has from 50 and still can't make the distance. I hate him, his mate Buttifant (another ex Saint) and all his filth team mates.

Would give any 2 on our list (apart from Goddaed,Dal, Joey and Fisher) to have Luke Ball back at the Saints!

Bad luck, BAIL made it quite clear he only wanted to play with one club and gave us no opportunity to deal with anyone other than the filth. I doubt he wants to come back.

Yes he wanted to play under a coach that respected him and knew how to win flags
Contrast that with condom bearing lap-dog who followed the only coach who would give him a game(even if is at s hit creek)

Ball was 5 or 6 on our mids list for his output with us and in reality worth far more to Pies.

Sure, love to have kept him - not on the ridiculous coin he was on.

At the risk of repeating myself
I believe his leaving had a lot more to do with Lyon's use of him in late 2009(particularly GF) than money.
I don't know too many ex captains that would have sat on the bench in the 2nd half aqnd watched some of the spuds that played and lost the second half (especially as his output to half time was second only to Lenny's)

I congratulate you on your undying loyalty to the lying dog and his humiliation of one of our modern day greats!
Not to mention your politician-like evasion of the key issue at hand i.e Lyon forgetting one of the best players of the 1st half for most of the second, ultimately costing us one if not 2 flags!

Bail's performance in the 2009 Grand Final was overrated by many people. How many touches did he get? 10? 100? 1000? Doesn't really matter because he did bugger all with them.
How many times did he score?
How many times did he set up a score?

22 pozzies in just over 50% of game time.
pretty sure Raph didn't score too much either he played over 80% of game time, pretty sure his supercoach score would have been close to zero that day!

the game was 2-3 years ago. time to move on. no amount of talking about it is going to change the result.

Sorry to drive peopla mad on this subject, but I can't stand it when people argue that Lyon was right or that it was all about $$.
Perhaps one day I will move on, but not while Ball has as many flags as we do as a club and keeps finishing top 5 in B&F in a club with a better midfield than ours!
Good night all.

The biggest issue is Balls body, and what it can do now, as opposed to then.

Where the responsibility lies, I have no clue.

Did Ross give up on Luke and convince Misson to direct his resources elsewhere? Did Misson give up on Luke and convince Ross he couldn't do what he needed him to do? Did Luke give up on Luke, and Mick gave him self-belief again?

When he writes his autobiography, I guess we'll find out.

Lyon rated robert eddy higher than luke ball. That is all that really needs to be said on the subject.

not sure what you mean here BM...
are you saying the insinuation in the book as to why Ball was moved on is rot or that the idea that he didn't work hard enough as justification for not playing him is rot
