In a jumper? Serious? Obviously he should have been wearing a tuxedo with waistcoat and cummerbund, that's the appropriate outfit for that sort of news.

FFS, how about you concentrate on his performance rather than his clothing. Is this Woman's Day all of a sudden?
Back in his Presidential days Lindsay Fox was known for his ill-fitting jumpers, yet he could buy and sell all the AFL club presidents that sat at the table.

Don't judge books by their covers.

The Saints are selling their Best and Fairest with the slogan the Season That Was when I queried it the club said it is the one they used as last year. I said don't you think it is a bit inappropriate given we have only won three games and Saad is about to be rubbed out for up to two years. My feeling was either the club was just too lazy to come up with a new slogan or they just didn't get. Either way its a worry.
It doesn't sound like a big enough issue to start a thread labelled presidential problems. Have you got any other issues that you know of regarding the performance of the President?
Better still, let us know of this mans achievements .
Does his profile and work equal someone like Eddie?

Eddie? Wasn't his only real job as boss of Channel 9 - and he only lasted about a year?

His public profile isn't as high as Eds but do you know how his business profile stacks up against Eds. If you can answer that you should be able to answer what the man's achievements are but I'm tipping you haven't got much of a clue. Maybe do some Google research and you might be able to put some facts up.

So they have a high profile President, therefore we need a high profile President.
They have pizza nights on a Tuesday so we should have pizza nights on a Tuesday. etc etc.

In reality unless there is tangible evidence that it helps?

Normally the questions asked of the club relate to footy ( in a good year anyway ). So the coach or the players get to respond.
Then there may be other issues asked of the club, regarding special events, player scandals , and so forth.
Surely the List Manager or CEO is the person to respond to this.
What exactly do we want to hear from the CEO? Do we really want to know why he's decided to use Ernst and Young to conduct the annual financial audit?

Yes!
I don't believe that the President (or is it Chairman/Chairperson?) should necessarily be high profile or media performer. As long as they have someone delegated for media responsibilities and THAT person is very good at it.
The correct person for the job is the one that brings it all together IMO.

Both the President and CEO have failed the club dismally, by not signing up Ross Lyon.

The guy is the best coach going around and in typical StKilda fashion these clowns let him slip away by poor management.

hmmm tough times call for massive sackings....makes sense doesn't it ?
These are the same people who saw us rise to dizzy heights but lets not let that get in the way of some downright reasonable thinking.

Sackem all.... I'm really getting closer to my fellow Saint supporters.

Their drafting/recruiting had started to pay off, players were embracing the game plan, and they must have had a break-out preseason.
New prez didn't suddenly wave a magic wand a la Harry Potter
Would Port have done as well this season with Primus as coach, and Koch hadn't come on board as Pres- I doubt it.
What Wellard is saying is that the ground work was done in the past through years through draft picks and trading. Thy now have a better coach who has benefited from that drafting but kosch has had little to do with it

I love this club

Tomorrow is his last Presidents lunch (well actually dinner).

Will be interesting to see what he says - right?
I'll keep track of how many "rights" and anything else interesting and report back.

They have Anchovies on their Pizza's.
While the status of Anchovies within the WADA rules is unclear, our sports scientist has introduced Watters to his seafood supplier and the seafood supplier has convinced Watters that all the successful clubs are doing Anchovies.
