It would be more accurate to say he's done nothing since Round 7, 2008.

He hurt himself playing as a listed player for the Saints. Are we supposed to just flick him because he got injured and make him pay all his own costs?
No, but we should have got rid a couple of years ago, when has he produced with any regularity?

I'm sure he is a lovely guy, but to me they are pieces of a puzzle- and he doesn't fit into that puzzle so see you later
Yeah maybe - but thats a bit of a different call.

Anyways - good luck X
concur, i wish him the very best he seems like a lovely guy and he does a lot to help out young aboriginal kids.

i just don't see a spot for him at the club though, so best to give him a new club and fresh start.

now if only we can get rid of raph...

I'm a bit indifferent about Xavier leaving, while I think he has the talent and could be a very good player, I just can't see his body standing up to the rigours of AFL.

We've covered it. JB says it's White Crow, and I'm not prepared to doubt him this time :)

sounds like he wants to lose us though.
fair enough then..
although he is better than a 4th rd pick, he's missed so much footy lately that its the best we can get for him.

those great goals and high marks were so exciting in his first few years, seemed to change the way he played and got messed up with all those soft tissue injuries.. complete waste!

if only we had Misson back then looking after our fitness!!

And as Lendog says White Crow is very reliable.

Ross Lyon is a very smart human being, certainly doesn't let sentiment play any part in his decisions.

mmm. well i dont think that RL is that objective either. Has shown a tendency to not judge purely on performance. Seems to take a preference to people he brings to the club over incumbents.... Id call that sentiment...

Not referring to x here because he has done nothing in 3 years.

But RL seems have a golden ticket printed off for people arriving iat the club in 2007 and after.....
And why wouldn't he??

Players recruited by Lyon have been done so for a reason... it's the type of player he deems necessary to execute his brand of footy.

Regardless...

Sad to see X go. A truly humble person without outstanding qualities.

Spent a lot of time doing charity work etc. True leader IMO.

Wish him the best of luck. He desrves it, and if it can't be with the Saints, then so be it.

Have you ever heard of private health insurance?
All players are required to have top private cover.
We don't pay his medical bills and in any case he did his knee playing for us.

Didn't play seniors in 2009. Before he did his knee, felt like he was on the outer. Won 22 games without him, not a big loss.

X had a contract - didn't have to trade him.

I cannot believe how harsh some of these calls are.
Certainly wouldn't blame X for his lack of opportunity, i'm sure he isn't thrilled with all the long term injuries either.
Goodluck X, if you go to Brisbane i hope you can get out on the park.

Harsh but true... he's not capable... I don't wish him well at all gave us nothing and we wasted a pick on him (ok it's been a bad day)

and if you read on you would also notice that i understand full well that we are liable to pay for them.
