Actually that's a good point too. Roddy going on the front foot in the hope media speculation derails the rival ticket, or frightens a few of them off.

Hadn't thought of it from that angle. Smart by him actually. Good politician is our Roddy.

I find it highly amusing that SEN played a grab of Roddy McButterss saying that 'dealing through the media' is not the way to go. The only bloke I'm continually hearing and reading is him!! Yes, it seems, the alternative wont get quoted, but somehow all the information about the alternative pres, a...

I wonder if Nathan Burke will cop the same scathing attacks on him here as Butters suffered for talking about the potential Board challenge on Saturday? Silly attacks if you ask me....fair enough that RB committed to stop talking about GT..and good too... But to expect a guy who is CURRENTLY still ...

Yes but those connections still need to agree with your agenda and agree to be part of the ticket.

If AT didn't agree with it, he wouldn't be part of it.

Agree with the credibility part, but the other credible party still needs to be willing.

"Ego is not a dirty word". Why is it that the classic Skyhooks song always comes to mind when I think of Roddy McButterss. Like his 'great mate' before him, the ego takes hold and refuses to let go.

Bit like this place too!

Agree. You will get wildy varying opinions on a great range of topics....just look at this joint! I'm not sure whether or not AT represents his own personal individual feeling or not, but thought it interesting that 8 days after retiring, he's standing for the board against RB. Most players I reckon...

Why couldn't we have an all red version of this year's clash jumper. That would still solve clashes against Collingwood, Carlton & Melbourne (admittedly not Essendon).

I'm with the majority. Hated this year's jumper.

Does Andrew Thompson represent a feeling of discontent among the playing group with our Roddy McButterss?? If the players are discontent, why did all our big names re-sign? Andrew Thompson joins the long list of EX-players who can now shout their dissaproval from the sidelines like the rest of us. ...

Junior home of Paul Roos, Richard Osborne & John Blakey if I remember correctly, is Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills are a hard-core nut job of a club (apologies for the rash generalisation). Glen Iris come from the more sedate Waverley League. But nothing excuses a parent getting on the ground to a...

FWIW, I know some people who do voluntary jobs at the Club both during the week and on matchday and they say theat there are 2 GT's - the one you see publicly and a totally different one in private. The main difference is:- The 'public GT' bends over backwards to be friendly and accomodating when h...

Delicious Irony.

Exactly why Rod Butterrs and most of his board should be shown the door.

I voted Liberal at the last election. How does that effect my position as a St Kilda supporter? Fair dinkum, that is one of the more stupid things I've seen written on here, and that's saying something. I'm no Grant Thomas apologist. We don't and didn't get on. But there are two sides to every argum...

It's all hypotheticals and I agree Fev isn't moving and we aren't in a position to meet demands in any case. It's interesting the thought processes that go on though. "you've got to give something up to get something in". Example was put to me last night, to which I answered no on both cou...

We are not in 'trouble' as such on the field, although we are in danger of stagnating if processes aren't continually followed for the future. As for off the field, there is potential for 'trouble' if the current board aren't held to task over their decisions and in particular, the public face of th...
