Re: We need some arrogance in our side
https://youtu.be/sZaELgM113s Be able to do that more often at Geelong!!!!! ;) Have a look at Rhys Stanley's stats the last couple of weeks. http://www.afl.com.au/match-centre/2018/18/geel-v-melb#full-time-stats Rhys held his own against Gawn 2 weeks ago and he was one of their best in that match wi...

Re: Keeping the ball in our forward 50
The problem with us trying to keep the ball inside 50 is that all our players cluster around the ball. The opposition always have two or three players sitting off this cluster, lined up in such a way so that player A releases to player B who releases to player C. We got burnt with this so badly aga...

Re: Thommo wants Clarkson.
The president needs to be more selective in his choice of words. It's understandable that it is not his role to be involved with the day to day activities of the football department, this is clearly what Lethlean, Richardson etc. are responsible for. However it is definitely his role to project the ...

Maybe obscuring the numbers with the colours was a pre-emptive ploy as they knew before hand how badly they would play.

Not much in that to raise confidence.

Re: Roberton Update- Dylan Audio
What is still a worry from this audio is that his cardiologist is still unclear what caused the heart problem and there was no mention of whether taking the rest of the year off will help the situation or not.

Re: Trout gone end of Year
Given the game is now viewed very much as a 'business' it would be interesting to know how objectively the roles of the recruitment staff and coaches are formally assessed, and how often. Any large business should have a formal performance process in place whereby the each person is assessed at leas...

Re: Injury update 2018
Hang on....I thought Armitage was initially "brought back a little bit early" at the start of the season according to the coach, and NOW he has been played with an injured hamstring over the last month because 'we still NEEDED TO PLAY HIM'? Sounds like poor management blended with a touch ...

Re: Saints ruck issues
The ruck has been a problem area for a long time with our club and I can't remember us having a winning combination since Gardiner/King. Over recent years I have become so used to us losing this position that I take it as normal, to the point where I think the club does not see it as a priority. Our...

We did well in 1991 but for whatever reason lost Greig, through injury I think, Dale Kickett and and that ball magnet whose name escapes me who ended up at the dockers via Bears.
We were down 6o possessions a match .

Re: What's up with the Saints?
My money is on Kingsley not delivering on his new role - look at his profile on the club site: "In 2018 he will commence a new role taking responsibility for on-field transition, which includes offence and defence." Our transition has worsened this year and it begs the question of how his ...

Re: HELP - A Saints history
My recollection about the move from Moorabbin was there was a major spat between the club and Kingston Council about the conditions for the (then) proposed redevelopment for Moorabbin, particularly the Council wanting a decrease of something like 7 pokie machines. One of the Councilors in particalar...

I think it was more a mental lapse, particularly after that Richmond win when we faced to Bombers and never looked like a team that wanted to push on and guarantee a finals berth.

Re: Henry Playfair
It's also interesting that Kingsley's new role is to do with overall ball movement and strategy. I feel has been a weak point for too long, particularly the transition into the forward line where there has been indecision, high bombing and not hitting targets either due to being under too much press...

Had not heard about nor seen that before, many thanks for posting!
One aspect of tradition that I seriously don't like was how they swapped jumpers with the Collingwood players. It just does not look right seeing Doc in those colours!

Good job Vazelos. Just wanted to add they also showed a video with Leigh Montagna going through some club history (Plugger, Winmar's jumper pull up, 66 premiership, etc.) and putting the challenge to the new recruits at the AGM that with Roo, Shinner and him now gone the challenge is onto them to ma...

If my memory serves me correctly John Macintosh could also stab pass on either foot, which I don't think anyone else could do.
Tragic his career was caught short by that knee injury, he was a ripper.
