They squashed poor old University and Fitzroy. These things happen in threes, so who is next? Take your pick.Rosco wrote:If hawthorn being within 15 kms of Moorabbin is a problem, how will Collingwood / Carlton / North Melb / Melb / Richmond cope being so close to each other?

Re: the channel 7 archivist. It is well worth following up as I was able to get my hands on a 1973 Glenelg vs Richmond highlights from a Champions of Australia game.
I was lucky to see Kevin Bartlett at Sputhland signing his book on Hafey and talked about it with him.

Re: Jamie Cox - Head of Football
He is a bloody good Cricket Commentator, so lest hope he as good an administrator if he gets the role ! If I am right he was originally from Burnie TAS and was a very handy footballer himself but chose the cricket path. When he was at the Australian Cricket Academy he was playing reserve grade foot...

Robbie Flower was also brilliant in state games. He won a game for the Vics against SA at Football Park by kicking 3 goals late in the last quarter to snatch the win. Easily best on ground.

Re: Free Agency - Luke Ball thanks for stuffing the comp
Plugs, It is always cathartic to get this off your chest. Helps with my sleeping (unlike Essendon CEO I don't need Melatonan). FA has been pushed heavily by the AFLPA, they wanted it and are now trying to justify it.

Free Agency - Luke Ball thanks for stuffing the comp
Free agency will seriously damage AFL. The players wanted it because they have a lot of spare time (as "elite athletes") sitting around watching US sport and soccer. They see all the big contracts and think wouldn't it be great if I could just go to the best team on huge money. They then w...

He was very amusing on the radio, great personality. It is a shame we don't see this side of players until they are retired.

Milan Faletic - recruited from Port Adelaide
Paul Temay - went to play for Glenelg in 1987 but his flat was broken into and his record collection stolen and broke his jaw in a game. Not a happy time.

Re: We have lost our identity
My anger with the decision is the lack of any consultation withe members. The board and executive made a major decision without consulting us as members. Now they are in place to make decisions, however, when it is such a large and identity-shaping decision the membership has to be involved. Secondl...

Re: AFL Press Conference About to start....
Dank now to sue for $10m is interesting. He may as well because his name has been in all the papers and he is innocent until proven guilty. Cannot imagine him being employed in Australia again so he may as well sue. AFL shouldnt try to bail Essendon out if they are guilty, they did employ these guys...

Don't forget his three quarters in the ruck in the 2010 grand final without being changed nearly won our second only premiership. That was a lion-hearted effort for a bloke who was carrying a serious foot injury.

No, I don't think we need a young coach. We need Mark Williams, he had rat cunning, knows football inside out. He can deliver the message to the older players like Reiwoldt, hayes, kosi, blake, dal santo, goddard and tell them they have underachieved as a group. He can also teach the kids how to play.

Choco Williams - best available coach
Choco Williams is the best available coach. He won a flag with a very minor club, how well are they going without him. Forget Malthouse, Eade would be good, but Choco is the pick. He lives and breathes football. Is a brilliant teacher of the game and knows how to win. And he wants to live in Melbour...

Our finals record vs. Collingwood
We have defeated Collingwood in finals in 1966, 1992 and 2008.
What is our overall record against them in finals, have they ever beaten us?

I am a foundation social club member because as such as I was guaranteed a grand final ticket. If the foundation part of it has been scrapped then I feel hoodwinked because that was part of the marketing. The club even sent out stat decs last year to confirm which year you joined as a member. If the...

Who makes up our best back 6?
Who would you have as our best back 6?
Fisher is our leading defender, but what would be the dream defense come finals time.
Are Baker or Maguire in the best 6? Baker is doubtful and it may be too late for Maguire this year already.
Who plays on the opposition's best small forward?
