Re: Outraged or don't give a rats.
I think we are the idiots for not just matching them and doing the same thing. They have been doing it for ages, there is no clear rule about it and they obviously won't get penalised. Basically we were fools not to sub in Lienert last week and I hope we stop playing the nice guys about this and sta...

Re: Hill high half forward
Gee it has taken Ratten a long time to realise Hill is not a defender. He looked like a different player. I hope he never plays in the backline again. He is best used flexibly. He can still be a gun running off half back eg the Freo game this year. The thing that Ratts has realised this year is it'...

Re: Langdon or Hill
I hope this makes us all feel a little bit better about the Hill move. It certainly made me feel better this week after being in iso with Covid. Ol mate Ross the Boss came out with something I wasn’t aware of (and not many people would be). He said on Wednesday’s Classified show that the person who...

Re: Best thing about today
It's good to have flexibility. If a player isn't working in one area they can move somewhere else. I'm sure we will see Hill back again as he can be a weapon there in the right game.

I thought Hill was clearly one of our best on Sunday. He shut up the Docker boos that's for sure... They probably lost their voices he had it that much.

Really doubt he plays. Wanganeen-Milera coming in, probably Highmore too.SunnyErnie wrote: ↑Thu 24 Mar 2022 1:11pm If Sharman is not selected this week then I give up with Ratten.

First game in almost a year after snapping his achilles, and he was still one of our best.

Re: Zak, where art thou?
Whatever the case I'm just praying for that good news story "Jones back at the club and ready to play". Would give us all a huge lift. Obviously we don't hear a lot about what's going on because it's private, but it must be a huge bummer for the players having their mate away from the club...

Re: Paddy McCartin a Swan
I remember meeting someone that billeted St Kilda players and had lovely things to say about all of them but according to them Paddy was an absolute tool of the highest order, extremely arrogant and ungrateful. Unfortunately he also loved to smash beers and thought he could act like Plugger in the 9...

If it had been in a real game I would have been ropeable.
The commentators were too naive to realise it but I'm sure that was against the rules, you can't push away the man on the mark.

Re: Team for Round 1
It is most likely that the selectors will select the team to play Collingwood in Round 1 from the 26 players named last night, i.e. 18 + 8 on the extended bench, all of who played at some stage of the game. The only player in contention other than Bytel and the 4 emergencies - Joyce, Long, Campbell...

How many have you laid? Fkn armchair expert This isn't about me BM. Your man is gonna play in the VAFA. Says it all really. Given he was an opportunist and was never a target in the big league, he might spend a lot of time being closely checked and staging for the odd free kick, and then again, he ...

Re: What's your level of Optimism for 2022?
Very hard to be optimistic after last year. I just think we are impossible to get a read on.
Honestly could see us anywhere from 1-18.
The start of the season will be crucial. Need to get off to a better start than last year.

It's an improvement on last year and suggests he might be able to better use his weapon (running) to our advantage.
