Hey asiu I've been 'about' forever, always checking in regularly and periodically but not posting often for the same reasons that alot of members dropped off - infighting, toxicity etc - it wasn't much fun and got to be too much for alot of people who didn't need more negativity than they already se...

"Fringe St Kilda forward Matt Allison will undergo surgery on a foot fracture that will keep the 20-year-old out of action for approximately 16-20 weeks, in what is another blow to Ross Lyon's key forward stocks ahead of the club's 150th campaign." https://www.zerohanger.com/young-saint-ma...

Matt Allison "significant" foot injury

Matt Allison has sustained a foot injury this week and will undergo surgery on a navicular fracture.

Rehab timeframe around 20 weeks. Had a good pre-season to date and was one of the chances to fill a gap up forward following injuries to King and Hayes.

Wasn't that going to be Beveridge before he got Footscray job?
yes !!

had already accepted the role iirc

we could probably file that as a sliding door/s moment
He actually "resigned" the morning of his first day at the club when offered the Dogs senior coach role.

Re: Zac Dawson AFL experiences and mental health + Richmond win!

Dawson was just a footballer and as his move to the Saints and then to Freo proved, a mercenary at that. His move to St Kilda proved he was a mercenary? He had been delisted at Hawthorn and given a lifeline by the Saints. How is that a mercenary move? It’s a pretty ridiculous comment as is the idea...

He actually goes into a fair bit of detail as to how this happened and what led to his departure.

I mean that's just dumb. That week we literally confirmed a new major partner, Genius Childcare, of all things. So that "loss of sponsors" argument is rubbish.

"I suppose when you win one premiership by one point in 150-years, you're always lamenting what might have been." Never a truer St Kilda sentence spoken 😔 "There's no better person to ask about leadership, history and club culture, than former Saints player, administrator and coach, G...

Re: North into Billings

I think he's just starting to come into his own. He's probably in the top 3 of our B&F this season so far so a $1m+/5y deal combined with a solid best and fairest means we'd get a really, really solid pick in return you'd imagine. With both North and Essendon looking like bottom 4 teams compo co...

Not just 14 games, but also one and a half pre-seasons to start his pro career and most of that final U18 season too. It's a fair chunk of experience advantage to Ben. Career stats: Goals: Max 1.4, Ben 1.5 Score involvements: Max 4.1, Ben 3.8 Not too worried. Yeah, I'm not too worried but I am a tad...

Did we get the wrong King? We have been excusing Max by saying he's young....but that's the b1tch of it for Max....he's got a clone playing in similar circumstances who is kicking ass. Ben has also had an extra 12 months of senior footy with Max missing his entire rookie season coming off that ACL....

North Melbourne next week - they were in very ominous form down at the Cattery today. Will be a good test to see where we’re at against a very very physical and talented side, with some big bodies and experienced heads in that side! Maybe not. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/aflw/aflw-season...

Why St Kilda And Jack Higgins are a match made in heaven

Another off-season, another breathtakingly ruthless job by the Saints. No club has achieved a more comprehensive re-invention these past few years than St Kilda, who’ve continually used the trade period to apply cream to an already exceptionally well-made cake. https://www.statsinsider.com.au/afl/wh...

We chatted with Sippa on Unpluggered last week. He's a ripper fellow and has worked hard to get where he is now. He's currently still in Alabama preparing for the move to Detroit and doing his rookie camp in isolation. Video here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=239417733813311&id=24...
