Though I don't think the pies would chance it in the PSD. They wouldn't have a low pick (purely based on where they finish). Someone like Richmond,Melbourne even Essendon would keep a PSD pick free if Ball was to go into the PSD, and he would be snapped up by any of the above quick as can be. The p...

Football is a paid job by definition these days and if a player has their heart set on a particular organization, it's fair enough they nominate it as their preference. Also, cause he's out of contract, he could just f**k off and take his chances in the pre-season draft and we get nothing so it's im...

Simple way to get more game time, play better and play to Ross's plan. I feel rather sick in the stomach.

Very disappointing, but thats just football.

As for what could the pies offer us...O'Bree plus pick? Would like Pendlebury and Anthony could be that medium tall to bolster our forward stocks, but they wont be on offer.

A huge NO to Fraser.

Maybe a three way deal?

I'm not suggesting for one second that the current admin shouldn't be applauded for what they've done also. I just find it ridiculous to think that they suddenly turned everything around 180 degrees and that everything that came before was wrong. (and yes the public slanging match between RB and GT...

Re: 2010 FIXture leak !!

The pssssst colum in the Sunday AGE by Bruce Eva (mad saints fan) today suggests that he heard from Geelong that there WILL NOT be a replay of the Grand Final in Rd 1, 2010. The article went on to suggest that the saints will play the cats 1 time in 2010 and that will be some time in the middle of ...

Chasing a copy of some old classics

Hi All, I'm after a VHS or DVD copy of the Saints v Swans match - Round 7, 1994, where Plugger kicked the winner after the siren and also the Saints v Blues - Round 2, 1989 I believe, when Plugger kicked the winner with seconds remaining on the clock and Moorabbin was pitch-invaded. Have tried Sport...

The rumour I heard was that Ball was on close $600,000 a year and there is no way he'll get that with his new contract on offer.

If Ball is happy to take quite a substantial pay cut, than he will stay, but that's a big if.

HURRY UP TRADE WEEK & FINISH One that I heard today was particularly upseting; That we were prepared to trade Kosi as part of a Fevola deal. I refuse to believe this, but it is the sort of crap that goes around this week !! This one makes me physically sick! I don't mind Fev coming to the club,...

I think we might be jumping the gun a bit. Since Chappy became the Cats match-breaker last Saturday, the majority of Sainters believe the forward line is our weakest link and in dire need of that zippy, tough nugget small or a medium-sized third option. If that being the case, Fev is not our answer....

Re: The New Hamill

It's been a few years now and we still haven't found the next Sammy Hamill. Sam Gilbert (194/84) was going to be there but installed himself elsewhere. That was what they were building him up for during the pre-season and I reckon it would work. But moving Gilbo to the forward line would incur a hu...

If broadcast doesn't cut back to the bounce in time, then the NAG DVD wont have it either. By excessive replays, do you mean the replays shown on the jumbo-screen after a goal is kicked but that the TV viewers miss because they roll a 30 second goal-break? If so, then yes, the DVD will have it. Basi...

It's what they call a "clean feed" from the broadcast truck. The exact same production you see on television, minus the network branding and obviously no commercial breaks.

Re: Rd 1 2010. Who should we play? !!

I would like to see a replay of the 2009 Grand Final as the season opener. It would probably have to be a Geelong Home game at Etihad Stadium or the MCG. I believe that BOTH clubs should be rewarded with favorable FIXtures for 2010, but I bet BOTH are a long way behind Collingwood & Carlton whe...

A half forward flanker should ideally be pacy, quick thinking and instinctive - be able to sidestep and create time and space and have goal sense and possess a nice long kick. He must be someone with lightning reflexes and poise. Gwilt is not quick thinking or instinctive enough in my opinion - he ...

Exactly!

The game plan and structure in place, while it was not perfect would have still won us the grand final had we converted a few more of our many chances.

I would back both Chips and Gilbo as a third tall, but they just too good in defence. Similiar to the BJ option as a forward, can do it but is too lethal in the middle!
