Re: Jack Steele
Call me dumb, but I reckon one of the most important jobs for a coach is team selection Jack Steele was the first bloke deemed worthy of being dropped from the team in 2018 when we were pantsed by North in the Good Friday debacle. That was also the game where it was the 20th or 30th opportunity for...

Jack Steele
A pure footballer. Tough, fit and great endurance. Has one of the hardest roles in footy and does it better than most. He hurts offensively, and rarely makes a mistake in doing so. One of our most valuable players no doubt. Got beaten yesterday which is rare, but it was Nat Fyfe whom i feel is back ...

Big fan of The Mongrel Punt, quite astute and entertaining writers.
There on-going power rankings have Marshall the No. 2 Ruck this year and 9th best player overall.

Re: The best ruckman in a generation
The ruck to compare Marshall with is Grundy. Grundy is 20 months older. Both will get better. But Marshall is new to his position at AFL Level. His rate of improvement over this year is stunning. His upside now is breathaking, as long as he does not plateau and I do not think he will anytime soon. ...

For me he is looking most likely to lead us next year.
And i would be happy with that, especially if the players love him as much as i hear.

Re: The Black Cloud Finally Lifts...
Was a great game to watch, but it was dead silent at times. There wasn't a big bulldogs supporter turnout i thought.
Plenty of noise and fun from where myself and my boy (on debut, he's 3) we're sitting around aisle 29.
Happy to get a win up for our Saints and my little Sainter.

Re: Sack the Coach (revisited)
We have a chance to bring someone in as Senior Assistant on big money if we re-jig the assistants contacts and roles. This senior assistant should be told that they will become Senior Coach in 2020 and Richo will become Coaching Director. For 2019 and 2020 they should work together to rebuild the g...

Re: The Fat Lady
What is more disturbing? A) Appoint a caretaker then face a potential dilemma as to whether to do a “full process” or just continue with the caretaker... B) let Richo run out the season as (for external purposes at least) match day coach then start from zero? If we choose B the AFL may accuse us of...

Re: Just venting
We need an Eddie McGuire or Brian Cook version of a St.Kilda supporter to come in and drag this club out of its love for mediocrity. Hopefully Bassat has an uplifting influence in his tenure. Otherwise i want Nick Riewoldt to head out ship for the next decade or two. Still our spiritual leader by a...

Weve really missed him, his effort and output are sometimes underrated.
No doubt his, Robbos, Gearys and Carlisle's absence has affected our ability to effectively rebound.
But yes i think no rush with him.
