Re: Kenny Whiffen - RIP Kenny , 10.1.14
Another article from earlier in the year http://www.footyalmanac.com.au/afl-round-9-st-kilda-v-gold-coast-suns-kenny-whiffen-will-live-forever-in-our-hearts/ Luke Holmesby has about an hour & a half of footage/interview with Kenny "in the can". I suspect this will be released at an ap...

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
All of this media speculation about JO, Elsternwick Park, Moorabbin, Seaford is simply that, MEDIA SPECULATION. They have worked their timing well. The admin Dept at the club has been closed since before Christmas and there won't be anyone around until the 12th. By that time the story will be largel...

The Bayside Club?
Port Melbourne is at one end, Portsea is at the other. There is a place somewhere near the middle, it's called MOORABBIN !!

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
I wonder if we could re-visit the ORIGINAL plan for Moorabbin? I think that plan was for the Social Club-Pokies to shift down to the corner, the Admin-High Performance Centre to be where the old car park overlooking an OPEN Oval. That way, we could have an elite training facility AND a Money Making...

Re: Russell's Top 25 Saints
I reckon the 1966 premiership team automatically go in the top 20, then it's everyone else in whatever order you want, and I am not ignoring some of the great post '66 players in saying that. So you want a player who didn't even get on the ground to be in our top 25? There is no way more than about...

Russell had Trevor Barker at 18 in 1995. By my calculations three have overtaken TB since. Riewoldt, Hayes & Burke?

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
Absolutely no need to be alarmed. We just needed the funds from the govt to get Junction Oval started. That's now going to happen so we have our foot about to poke itself just in the door. Don't believe everything you hear from Daniel or the cricket heavies. " There will be no carbon tax in a ...

Re: Russell's Top 25 Saints
Thanks for the mail, Kosi. I know these lists are subjective, but he has to be kidding. I'm an admirer of Russell's work, but even that initial best twenty is bizarre, to say the least. I wait with great anticipation for the next list. Honestly, why do we place so much value on the heroes of yester...

Re: Jack Steven contract
My concern with Jack is that the bigger clubs are following Hawthorn's lead and "Cherry Picking" to top up their lists. I suspect that Collingwood, Geelong & possibly Essendon have already made serious enquiries. Let's hope that he just wants to re-capture his 2013 form before re-signi...

We're definitely gunna Draft him because he goes to the same school as Petracca & Richo's boys. Hold On, we didn't Draft Petracca !!HitTheBoundary wrote:"Eastern Ranges 197cm key forward Sam Weideman will be one of the few genuine tall prospects in next November’s draft".

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
If Cricket Victoria don't need AFL cash would they still be open to sharing the Junction training space? Presumably not. So either we go it alone with cash from the AFL and the Saints elusive "money men" if we can use the adjacent oval, or we upgrade Seaford, or we try to somehow reboot M...

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
Chloe Saltau this morning claims the the Andrews Labour party have promised money to upgrade the Junction for cricket should they win the next election but the Libs proposal to include St Kilda FC in the upgrade could be scrapped. Apparently AFL would receive enough from the initiative by just rega...

Member has several years experience training with the Swines and has played footy at AFL level. What more do you need? Let's not forget he's spent two years in a crappy competition, the NEAFL. I used to watch the odd game when I was working in Canberra and I have to say playing at that standard for...
