Re: Changes For Next Week

Do you think that Dunstan has put two and two together and deduced that he may be part of a trade for Sloane? If so he may have lost interest? Is that anything more than speculation? They couldn't possibly trade Dunstan for Sloane could they? That would prove to me they have lost their way on build...

I thought Sinclair played a pretty impressive game. Not sure he would be the first dropped. :?

Re: Late change

Not surprised Shenton as a swap for Geary but not sure Shenton is what you want as a sub. Would expect more of an impact player as a sub. Was hoping Acres might get a run.

What this says to me is that compared for earlier runs at the flag we will have a bit more depth. Something we sorely lacked earlier.

However I wouldn't mind getting Aish now. He is gone from the Brions but he might be tempted to a fat 3 year contract with the Saints.

Re: Spencer White

We won't let Spencer go , when he's matured he will fire I can't see how he couldn't , You would think if he is any good he would tear it up in the reserves ..But no one really tears it up in the reserves goal wise , maybe fev has but can't think of anyone else on a consistent basis! Time is what's...

Re: Core group discussion

My dream is that we build with selective poaching of great young players. How sweet would be stealing Scharenburg from the Pies. Karma for Ball. Maybe poaching Aish from the Lions. A perfect fit for our midfield.

Obvious that today we should have brought in Michington. Bad selection.

Fell apart. Embarrassing and pathetic. One of the few games we genuinely had a chance of winning.

I am going to stick with #4. He has that x factor you cant learn. He may have 2nd year blues but he will be a crackerjack player.

From AFL website... Daniel McKenzie: Young midfielder who can play on the wing or across half-back. Has shown good speed and kicking skills, and has picked up the game plan well since arriving in November. Missed a week with migraine issues but is back training now. Could play later in the season.

Teams are out. Looking forward to this game. Notable absentees are Hickey, Siposs, Steven, Schneider, Gilbert, Murdoch, Simpkin, Wright, McKenzie and Minchington. http://www.saints.com.au/news/2015-02-20/intra-club-squad Somewhat disappointing to have Dan McKenzie is missing. Re: Starting to Feel Excited About the 2015 Season Ahead

Watched the Crows Rd4 game today - was a great reminder of how ordinary we were last year! The Crows smalls destroyed us and pressured our every disposal and just did what they wanted the other way. Our ball movement was atrocious. Lets hope we can improve on those sort of performances this year, i...

Re: Saints to appoint Wayne Hughes to Recruiting Department

Wouldn't normally suggest this but I think there's a real case for the club to post a profile or bio of Hughes to show why he is suited to the role because everything that has been posted above does not fill us with confidence. The Saints are one team that has a woeful track record on this type of r...

Re: Rohan Welsh - assistant coach interview 23/12

Two backline Coaches - Welsh & Frawley (3 days) ? How will this work, as no doubt, both will have their own views on tactics, style, approach to players etc :?: Same way Richo works with all the other coaches. Sit down and agree a strategy. Frawley can't be a game day coach so Welsh will have a...

Re: Jack Steven contract

Jack is a ripper player but IMHO we are likely to lose him to another team at the end of the year. He will be looking to join a team who believe they are in a premiership window. The compensation of course will be probably a 1st round selection. I think this will work well for us in a draft with a s...

Re: Name your Picks. 1, 21, 22 and 41 + rookie

I have no idea who we'll be taking at 21, 22 and beyond but am confident we'll be taking McCartin at #1. Unfortunately my guess is that Hemi is on the money. I think that the logic is that the club is desperate for a key forward and the club is not sold on McKenzie at pick 20, but believes there wi...
