Re: nostradamus Time... Finals
Maybe not finals, but the beginning of the end of Hawthorn's reign and if Fremantle don't, premiership window closed.

Re: Jake Carlisle
Carlisle's decision will be purely based on remuneration, despite what may or may not be said. The Saints won't pay overs for him in terms of trade value or contract. That probably says as much about Carlisle as anything else. But, don't be too disappointed if we miss out. There's another Victorian...

Re: Coaching refresh needed>
Sort of think Hammill had a bit to do with Bruce kicking 50 goals this year, plus not having Billings for a good part of the season hasn't helped our forward structure. He showed what he is capable of in that win against Bulldogs. From what has been reported, Schneider has a really good football bra...

Re: Jake Carlisle
Midfielders are easier to find than KPP's. He is the right age and matched with Goddard that gives us a pretty awesome (potentially) spine of Carlisle, Goddard, Dunstan, Bruce and McCartin, all with 10 years at least in front of them. You can build a pretty decent team around that if they live up to...

Think Markworth might be given another year due to his misfortune with injury.
Saad maybe let go as well.
Other than that, agree with everything, though the other negative would have been a very disappointing last 2 rounds after such a promising year.

Re: When should St Kilda attack Free Agency?
First question, who is actually up as a free agent. We would want someone who can give us 100 games right now.
We don't need top up players, though depth, which we can trade for and use draft for are worth having.

Actually at relief that the seasons over and the last two weeks actually didn't happen, denial.
looking forward to trade period and draft to see what we can do to win a couple of more games next year and not get flogged again for a very long time like the last 2 weeks.

First time since the G Train that our leading goal kicker wasn't Roo or Milney.
Let's hope for a few more next year in tangent with McCartin.

Why Disneyland, I've been there, it's too much fun, they'll think there getting rewarded.
Mind you some of their decisions did seem to come from Fantasyland.

Re: 8 goals in 8 quarters
Agreed, a very poor finish to an otherwise good season.
I said last week that we played exactly how Sydney wanted us to play and we fell for it again tonight.
Glad it's over, hopefully next year we can eliminate these performances from our repertoire.

Re: Match thread v Eagles
What a crap way to finish off what was a promising season with two successive 90+ point defeats. While there isn't any doubt that West Coast are a much better team than us right now, I do agree with others about the umpires and again it's not what they paid, it is what wasn't paid to us, we should h...

Re: Last win against WCE at Subi
We might get an all mighty shellacking today. Hopefully not! Actually don't think we'll get done to badly. reckon West Coast will simply do what they need to do to win, don't want to risk any injuries especially when they have Hawthorn next week. Probably be one big burst that will seal it for them.

Re: POLL: Which team don't you want to win the Granny?
Anyone but Freo or the Swans. I hate but have to admire the Hawks, West Coast well don't really care, actually don't want the Bulldogs to get ahead of us. North wont, Adelaide would be a fairy tale based on what happened this year, and Richmond's bandwagon's wheels will break with all the fair weath...

Re: That brand of utter garbage football..
this was our first real smashing of the year. Even in our 10 goal losses we were competitive for some of the game. We have a much higher percentage than last year. I expected at best 5 wins, so for me we have finished better than expected. Just want to see them compete next week but West Coasts big ...

Thanks for your service Adam, always enjoyed watching you play and yes you should have got that free kick.
Mind you bet RL is happy were playing them this week based on what's happened the last two seasons when stellar players announce their retirement.
Let's hope we can do the same to Sydney.

Re: Postitives and Negatives v Cats
Positives, Gilbert, best game since the school girl debacle, which I think affected him a lot. Ross, best game yet and growing. Goddard, twice we beat Carlton to a Goddard, you have just got to love that Bruce, best game for the a number of weeks. Membrey, this guy reminds me of Hammill, will be a p...

Well good luck to Jason Holmes. Cue is in the rack we are treating these games like practice games now as we should, have nothing to gain at this stage other than experience for these guys and see what future they have.

Re: I hop ethey do.
Holmes could come in for Longer, and Membrey for say Minchington or even Saunders. I do think we are going out to win, but we are also trying guys to see if their worth pursuing. If Holmes plays, I actually expect he will do well in general ruck work, winning plenty of taps and directing them very w...

Re: Squad v Dockers
I just get the feeling that maybe we've put the cue in the rack for the season. It is good to see these guys get a chance to show if they have a future, but I think our run home is rated the toughest in the competition and can't see us winning again this season. Hope I'm wrong, would love to knock G...

Re: Round 22 Adam Goodes
This whole saga has gone on long enough, wont be booing him unless he does something bad to one of our players. My beef is more with Sydney itself and how the rules were bent to accommodate both Tippett and Franklin. Any other club and they wouldn't be having a pick in the draft for a couple of year...

Paul Roos and Ross Lyon
Are these two guys responsible for ugly football? Whilst Roos managed to win one flag, RL hasn't and highly doubtful his current team and style of play will. All Melbourne seemed to do was clog up our forward line to try and keep us to a low enough score they could beat. Might have won one flag, but...

Great game today, one of the few highlights from an otherwise forgettable game.
It was great to win and win relatively easy, but it was ugly to watch, except of course for Paddy which was exciting.
