imagine how good .....

I noticed an interesting stat this morning- and am even more puzzled given that , like many on here, I moan and throw things when our forward 50 entries seem so haphazard and lacking in skill and vision. What stat? Well , given a few teams are yet to play BUT we are the highest scoring team (points ...

Re: Trade Billings

I suspect we will be disappointed with any offer for Jack - just think who is like for like. Maybe Phillips from Collingwood, and what would you be prepared to give up for him? Amazingly even Jack Newnes is more value to his team than Billings. Any of the wingers from the top teams are much more inf...

Re: Memo to the Geary knockers

Geary is a player who has gotten the most out of himself. One of the bravest, most hard working players I've seen at the Saints. His deficiencies are well known, but he sets an example on and off the field with his better qualities that few others in the team can display to the same level. That's w...

have you ever seen a better 4 goals by the one player, in the one game. The degree of difficulty, and each so different!!!

What a beauty!

Re: Young guns on the cusp

Thanks Saynta- for the synopsis from the HUN. Clavarino is an interesting choice for a debut- where would he play? If he has been training as a defender then presumably he is in line after Howard and Carlisle - both currently uninjured and with our back 6 performing well and with plenty of cover in ...

Re: Seb Ross

Skills not up to it - even his hand ball seems to put the recipient under pressure - at their feet, behind so momentum lost, or to no one in particular. He seems to have lost the ability to weigh up options and just slams it forward. As our recruits and young guys have shown- he is marginal, can't p...

Re: Josh Bruce

Good on him- 6 goals, some strong grabs. A reminder of what a good player he was for us , and what you can do with polished delivery. I am happy with our forward set up and he did become the type of player clearly good enough to play but perhaps no longer a good fit for 2020 StKilda.

Let's forgive the hyperbole, and agree GWS and Toby were On the end of some shockers. What is the point of so many umpires when you hear so often "I didn't see it" .

Agree- he kicks like a kid from Auskick. All up and down. And those across the body kicks rarely come off. Brad Hill should tutor Him.

Having been away I have just watched the replay and ask any chance we can get back on track- I could start a new thread perhaps but as it is pertinent to the topic- why has Coffield not had a mention. Yes- he did on occasion take on a little too much but in the main he was good- vision, positioning,...

Have to say I’m with B.M. On this one. ie if the suggested trades eventuate then what’s the point? If the players out - Bruce and Steven in particular, both clearly in our top Echelon, are replaced with fringe players from other teams then We are going backwards. Anyone who thinks this makes sense i...

Re: Bruce Requests trade to Dogs

So disappointing, any team needs warriors. Bruce has been that and more. I have no idea as to the inner workings of the club but they better have something really special in play to justify flicking Bruce to the dogs. Luke Beveridge is a smart guy, sees a weakness in the dogs set up and gets it sort...

Re: Langlands, Marsh and Mayo signed

Stoked for all 3. I think Marsh could end up being a very good get. Big guys with his pace dont grow on trees. Give him a full pre-season and I reckon he'll surprise a few. Agree about Marsh- should give him a go on the wing. Big, quick and willing to take the game on. Just needs game time. Mayo- n...
