No flame from me either LLTW....I'm really fed up with the squealers on this site - it's heartening to see we still have some SUPPORTERS with perspective. I'll chuck in my 2 bob's worth as well and say it was our most consistent 4 quarter effort so far this season. Put it this way...if we'd played l...

Couldn't agree more, I also think the more games he gets and the fitter he becomes we can start resting him in the forward line instead of wasting his talent sitting on the bench. He's obviously got that footy nous of a natural footballer - a few times last night he drifted into space and would have...

Anyone remember Matthew Young? I sometimes think how good we could have been if he hadn't been cruelled by arthritis - was a sad way for a young bloke to end his career. He gave us so much drive playing alongside Jones and Cripps in '97...if I remember correctly, he was sometimes tagged off the half...

It may be a bigger crowd than some people may anticipate - Tiges have shown a bit of form over the last few weeks and still have a decent following considering their lack of success.

I remember 1 game v the Tiges in the 90s down at Waverley where the crowd was up around the 71,000 mark...

Can't fault your list of "toughies" there Rodger, but I'd also add Bally in there....one of the most courageous (too much for his own good) players I've ever seen pull on the red white & black. And then of course there's Harves...never an overtly intimidating player, but never took a b...

Yes I thought this was a very low act too and if the AFL don't clamp down on this sort of thing quick-smart, someone is going to end up with a serious spinal injury...similar to the way Fiora landed last year...wouldn't take much. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this type of tactic is h...

Thanks Quixote. I don't think it's asking too much of the guys to have a more consistent go. Look at the Roos and the Pies - they showed us a thing or 2 about 4-quarter efforts last season, and just how far it can take you...and I do believe we have a much greater depth of talent on our list than ei...

All I want to see next year is good old-fashioned honest hard toil on and off the field, and the guys having a fair dinkum 4 quarter dip come match day. No more final quarter fade-outs next year please gents - we lost far too many premiership points through this last season. Get that right, and give...

Although I do agree Craig O'Brien didn't exactly set the world on fire for the Swans, I thought he played quite a few good games for us - he was a beautiful kick for goal and had just the right amount of mongrel in him.

This is thread of the year for mine SR - superb post mate! You've hit the nail on the head right there - work ethic would have to be THE vital ingredient for this club to progress next season. As much as it pains me to say so, I've had a lot of admiration for the way the Pies played their footy this...

Well I gotta go out on a limb and agree with Meher Baba and say I thought it was a bit sad myself - the guy's still a champion player regardless of what a tool he may make of himself off-field....and he'd hardly be Robinson Crusoe there either...

Champions out of the game = bad news IMHO.
