Re: I WAS WRONG ~ I sincerely apologise
I agree the move to seaford might not have been ideal, when great players might have the choice basically of which melbourne club they want to be at - 6 of them based in the city .........or the one down in Seaford that travels a few times to N.Z as well as interstate.........Which one will they cho...

Re: PLEASE STKILDA BOARD let goddard and montagna go
Id love to have an hour with Pelchen to see what our plans are for the next two years. We re all kinda in the dark at the moment. The swans should be our model as they never really bottomed out and are on the rise again. We cant afford to bottom out completely like a Melbourne F.C anyway for financi...

I'm sure a few subway cookies after surfing all morning in between training is fine . Everyone else might be sitting around playing x box in their down time. He turned the game for us a few times last year.

Re: Jason Blake
Why would you kick across the ground like that to a contest when when you could go 50m towards OUR OWN GOAL to a contest. We all knew as soon as he kicked it that it was the wrong descision. Unforgivable by a 200 game player with average skills.

Re: David King says we're stuffed...
I went to the praccy game vs pies , and I must admit, it left me with a feeling of dread re backline. I don't expect as much now and I hope I'm wrong . Lyon could coach and I believe went super defensive to cover our deficiencies , however it eventually swallowed the team and the ability to score at...

Re: NAB Challenge R4 Magpies v Saints GAME THREAD
The score in the end was flattering for us, believe me. They missed plenty of sitters from 20 or 30 out. Cloke missed some easy ones but tore us a new one overall. I hate to say it but we desperately need a big full back and even dawson would have been handy today> just a fist on the ball would be n...

Re: Saints to play home game in NZ on ANZAC day
The difference between n. Z and tassie is that tassie loves it's footy and is starved of afl. In N. Z it would be a novelty and have limited interest. In reply to picking up extra memberships over there , I would argue that you would lose even more over here. And the members here pay more. If they m...

Re: Saints to play home game in NZ on ANZAC day
Four games in N. Z would be selling our soul. I cant see that many saints supporters going over. It s not like ducking accross to tassie like 10 000 hawks supporters do, So why would the n.z govt pay our sponsorship . Plus the only ones that would go to the game would be a few ex pats, and I don't t...

I went to the agm for the 2011 season and when questioned about sponsorship , Westaway replied that the club already had their quota for the year and that not having a jumper sponsor wasn t an issue. He repeated this a number of times in the meeting . Now we find them saying that we re 1.4 mill down...

I was the same. All I could think of while watching it was the saints almost perfect season of 09 playing with a bunch of misfits ( saints third tier players) , only to go down in the final. When Pitt was too scared to leave the dressing room to watch, it brought up some of the feelings from the g.f...

The pick that we swapped for Walsh 35 or 37? not sure which one , will be the one that is looked at and critisized for years to come. Both by swans supporters and saints. If Walsh turns out to be a gun and our pick is a dud , we will never hear the end of it. Heres hoping that Walsh is just average ...

Thanx St chris. Out of those i would prob only like to see Polo and Gamble get the ass. I dont think there is much point keeping gamble as he wont bulk up any more and we have just recruited two other smallish mature age forwards. Id like to keep Blake on a small contract as a backup ruckman / defen...

11 players out of contract . Who are they?
Dehnam on sen just said that we have 11 players out of contract . Just wondering who they are? If we use our first 5 picks in the draft , plus our two forwards we just picked up - thats at least seven we have to get rid of off the list. We ve already de listed 4 in Gards , baker, eddy, and maqualter...

Everyone seems to accept salary cap pressure, and having no money left to pay up and coming players as purely a result of success etc. But the truth is its mismanagement pure and simple. We need another big man forward. Walsh was shown the ropes in the backline moving him forward towards the end of ...
