This is a surprising thread. I've watched plenty of Sandy football and Eli isn't soft, he works hard and is their best player. A perfect replacement for Joey. But, I have no connections at the club and am just going by what I see on gameday.

He's been resigned because that ups his trade value. There is no point in having both Longer and Hickey on the list. One should be traded. We need mids, not an extra ruckman playing for Sandy.. If Hickey gets injured, Pierce comes in. If Pierce goes down then Holmes plays.

I agree with this. We lose all momentum when Bruce goes into the ruck. Not his fault but maybe the mids need to combat this differently

It's such a strange thing that Richo hates height in the backline but loves old, slow players with poor skills and no run.

Both Fisher and Dempster are finished. Time to move on. Neither would make another AFL side. Same thing with Gilbert. If we played with BM's defensive lineup we would never get the ball out of the backline. That would be the worst defence in VFL/AFL history.

I think it's too early to say DMAC isn't part of the future. Savage is a weird one - he's so inconsistent. Geary has courage and nothing else.

Fisher is not a key defender. Too weak. He is good as a second or third man. Hawkins monsters him. Dempster and Fisher should retire ASAP.

He's the best KPD on our list. Insane that we weren't playing him.

Templeton is a tough little bugger and I also reckon he will make it. No great rush with him, let him keep developing wherever the coaches like but I like him.
